Speech Therapy Services

I currently offer 30-45 minute speech therapy sessions. Services include a combination of intensive therapy model and weekly/contract sessions.

What is Speech Therapy?

Speech-language therapy addresses much more than how a child says their sounds. Speech-language pathologists support the development of speech, language, communication, social interaction, and other skills that allow children to successfully communicate with the people around them.

Therapy is individualized based on your child's needs and may focus on helping your child communicate more clearly, understand and use language, express their wants and needs, interact with others, or use alternative forms of communication.

Areas I Treat

Who Do I Work With?

I provide pediatric speech and language services for children with a variety of communication needs.

Children do not need to have a specific diagnosis to benefit from speech therapy.

  • Speech or language delays

  • Autism

  • Developmental delays

  • Down syndrome/genetic conditions

  • AAC needs

  • Gestalt language processing

  • Articulation/phonological disorders

  • Other developmental or communication differences

How Do I Know If My Child May Need Speech Therapy?

Your child may benefit from a speech-language evaluation if you have concerns about:

  • Being difficult for others to understand

  • Producing certain speech sounds

  • Using fewer words than expected

  • Combining words or forming sentences

  • Understanding questions or directions

  • Expressing wants, needs, thoughts, or feelings

  • Frequently repeating memorized phrases or scripts

  • Communicating effectively with others

  • Becoming frustrated when trying to communicate

  • Needing additional ways to communicate besides spoken words

  • Losing previously acquired communication skills

*You don't have to wait for a diagnosis to ask questions about your child's communication development.*

Flexible Therapy Designed for Kids

Evaluations

Comprehensive speech and language evaluations are available to identify your child's individual strengths and areas of need. Evaluations may assess speech sound production, receptive and expressive language, early communication, social communication, and other areas based on your child's needs.

Intensives

Our Intensive Therapy Model is a great option for families looking for a focused boost. During an intensive, your child is seen every day for one week, allowing us to work consistently on specific goals and help jump-start new skills.

• Daily therapy sessions for one full week

• Perfect for giving skills an extra boost

• Individualized plan focused on your child’s top goals

• Helpful before transitions, new activities, or developmental milestones

Weekly Sessions

Speech therapy should be engaging, functional, and meaningful to your child. Sessions are individualized based on your child's goals, interests, and communication needs. Depending on your child's age and goals, therapy may incorporate play, movement, structured activities, AAC, parent education, and practice within everyday routines.

Parents and caregivers are an important part of the therapy process. When appropriate, I provide strategies and recommendations that can be incorporated into daily routines to help skills carry over beyond the therapy session.
