Occupational and Physical Therapy Services

We currently offer 30-60 minute occupational and physical therapy sessions. Services include a combination of Intensive Therapy model (4 sessions per week) and weekly/contract sessions.

Current Services Provided

Whether you’re local to Wichita or traveling for care, our intensive therapy blocks offer the opportunity to make meaningful gains in a short period of time.

What We Offer During Intensive Blocks:

Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI)

DMI is a hands-on therapy approach performed by both Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists. It targets core postural control, balance, and gross motor function through specific movement patterns. It’s designed to promote neuroplasticity by activating motor pathways and encouraging functional movement.

TASES (Task-Specific Electrical Stimulation)

Used during movement-based tasks, TASES helps activate and strengthen specific muscles, improving motor control and endurance. It’s especially effective for kids with low tone or difficulty initiating movements.

NISE STIM (Non-invasive spinal stimulation)

This technique combines electrical stimulation with sensory and motor integration strategies to enhance motor recruitment and coordination. It can help with posture, trunk activation, and gait training.

Reflex Integration

We use play-based and functional activities to help integrate primitive reflexes that may be interfering with your child’s movement, attention, or coordination. This allows for improved motor control, regulation, and focus.

Astronaut Training

A sensory-based protocol to support the vestibular, visual, and auditory systems. This program helps children improve spatial orientation, balance, and attention through controlled movement, sound, and visual inputs.

Fine & Gross Motor Development

Our sessions target developmental motor milestones such as sitting, crawling, walking, grasping, and coordination. Activities are customized to support your child’s functional independence and participation in play, school, and daily life.

Spider Cage Therapy

Using a supportive cage system with elastic cords, this tool allows children to practice functional movements safely while working on strength, balance, and coordination. It’s often combined with DMI, estim, or sensory-based strategies for maximum results.

🧠 Why the Intensive Model Works

Our intensive therapy model typically includes 3–5 sessions per week over the course of 1–3 weeks, allowing for consistent input and faster skill development. This model is especially beneficial for children needing a jumpstart in progress or for families looking to maximize therapy in a shorter time frame.

 Weekly Sessions

These visits will be custom to the child and focus on the goals set during the first session using all the interventions listed above. They can include gross and fine motor skills. These will be available depending on the therapist availability and schedule for the week.
